Perhaps the question of how to reconcile quantum physics and classical physics is a false one?

Why do they need to be reconciled? The moon influences the oceans through tides. However, if we are to calculate the speed, direction of an object in the water, we will look to wind direction, speed, currents, etc. and the moon's influence will not enter into equations. Simply put, there are two paradigms that may meet in very specific situtions, but there is no contradiction in the fact that they are independent of each other. Thus, there is no need to reconcile quantum and classical physics. why do physicists persist in seeking this fool's gold then?
