Well maybe you should get yourself out there. Just turn to the person who sits next to you in science or math or something and say hi and introduce yourself. Chances are you've made yourself so invisible that they won't even know your name. Get to know them and see if they're free at lunch to hang out with. I hope this helps but I've so been there.
