How do I reconcile John 11 with this?
Yes, Lazarus died twice. So did all the other people Jesus Christ raised from the dead. As God, He had the power to make exceptions for these specific people. He Himself rose only once, never to die again, and ascended into heaven, body and soul, while still alive. He was not raised from the dead, but rose from the dead by His own power, the only one to ever do so. In so doing He fulfilled His own prophetic word: "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. (John 10:17-18)
