What should I expect the first time I smoke weed?

So, my buddy and I promised that we would both smoke weed for the first time together. Neither of us know anything about weed, but our other friend is a dealer and he is going to show us the ropes. He told me about how you won't feel as much the first time you smoke it, but it will still be fun. I trust him, but I just want to know what has happened to other people and what could possibly happen to me. Any other information on weed would be appreciated too.
