Is the Nitrous Oxide that they use in cars the same as laughing gas?

The nitrous the dentist uses is Medical Grade. Automotive Grade nitrous is generally known as Nitrous Plus as it contain 300 ppm sulfur dioxide to keep people from huffing the gas.
